Reviews are an Author's Best Friend
The thought of someone critiquing your work can be terrifying. I mean mortifying - the feeling you get when you know you're about to experience pain, but can't do a thing about it. But here's the rub: As a writer you need reviews to help spread the word about your work. Good or bad, volume is key. As I continue to market Shady Place and write Amara, it dawned on me that most people may not realize how vital the role of the review, especially on sites like Amazon, can be for an author. As I prepare to begin marketing Amara for a release later this year, I will be offering advance reader copies to stimulate reviews prior to release, but more on that later (make sure you sign up for updates from my mailing list or like the Shady Place page on Facebook for more info on this!). For now, I'd like to invite those of you who have been kind enough to read Shady Place to swing by the Amazon page and leave a little review. If you loved it, great! Tell me and everyone else in the world. If you didn't, first I'm sorry, but tell me anyway and why! Click here to leave a review and feel free to drop me a line and let me know you did! I thank you in advance, even if you hated it, at least you read it!
